Ocho Rios has the densest concentration of attractions in Jamaica. Dunn’s River Falls, the Blue Hole, river tubing and the bobsled at Mystic Mountain are all within about half an hour. The main planning decision is not what to do but which day to do it, because cruise ship schedules change the crowds completely.
Dunn's River Falls
The famous terraced climb up to a beach, done in a guided chain. About an hour of climbing. Go early, and go on a day with no ship in port.
The Blue Hole
A series of small waterfalls and deep swimming holes inland from Ocho Rios, with rope swings and jumps. Rougher and less organised than Dunn’s River, which is exactly why many people prefer it.
River tubing on the White River
Ninety minutes drifting down a calm river in an inflatable ring. Very little effort required and suitable for most ages.
Mystic Mountain
A chairlift up through the forest, a bobsled run and a zipline. The most theme-park of the Ocho Rios options and the best one for teenagers.
