Excursions from
Negril
Negril excursions divide between the water and the interior. On the water: sunset catamaran cruises along the cliffs and snorkelling trips out to the reef. Inland: YS Falls and Mayfield Falls, both around an hour away, and both far quieter than the north coast waterfalls.
Sunset at Rick's Cafe
The cliff-diving bar on the West End. Crowded and touristy, and still worth going once for the sunset and the divers. Arrive well before sundown for a seat.
Catamaran sunset cruise
Along the cliffs with the sun going down over open water. The single best two hours in Negril for most people.
YS Falls
An hour inland on the south side. Seven tiers of falls in a working estate, with a rope swing and natural pools. Quieter and greener than Dunn’s River.
Mayfield Falls
Shallower, more of a river walk than a climb, and genuinely peaceful. The best option if you want a waterfall without a crowd.
