Tour · Montego Bay, Saint James, Jamaica
Dolphin Cove Montego Bay
A marine park on the Montego Bay coast built around dolphin programmes, with a
sheltered lagoon, walkways through the grounds and a beach area. Park entry comes
with whichever dolphin programme you choose, and most visitors spend half a day
there rather than just the session.
The programmes
They differ mainly in how much water time you get and how many dolphins are
involved. The Encounter is done standing in shallow water and is the one small
children do. The Swim Adventure is roughly thirty minutes in deeper water with one
dolphin. The Royal Swim is the same length with two, and includes the foot-push
and dorsal-pull behaviours people book it for. A briefing comes first, and photos
of your session are included.
Ages and heights
Programme eligibility is set by height as well as age. Under about 1.20m, or
aged one to five, children do the Encounter and must be accompanied by two paying
adults. Between roughly 1.21m and 1.40m, ages six to twelve, one paying adult goes
in with them. Above 1.40m and thirteen or over counts as an adult and can swim
alone. Tell us your group’s ages and heights and we will book the right
programme rather than the one you get upsold.
