Tour · Montego Bay, Saint James, Jamaica

Catamaran Cruise & Snorkel

Three hours out of Montego Bay under sail, with a stop on the reef in the
middle of it. The boats are big sailing catamarans rather than motor launches, so
the ride is quiet once the engines are off, and the coast looks completely
different from the water than it does from the road.

Snorkel gear and a briefing are included, and the crew stay in the water with
anyone who wants company. The reef inside the Montego Bay Marine Park is shallow
and calm, which makes it a forgiving place to try snorkelling for the first
time.

Morning or afternoon

This matters more than people expect. The morning sailings are the family ones
— children are welcome and the emphasis is on the reef. The afternoon
sailings are usually adults only, with music and a bar, and they are a different
afternoon entirely. We will book you onto whichever fits, but tell us which you
want.

The bar opens after the snorkel stop rather than before, which is the right way
round and worth knowing if you were planning otherwise.
